The manager component improperly validates the source identity of incoming CloudEvents on Kafka status topics. A remote attacker, after compromising a managed hub and obtaining its Kafka client certificate, can manipulate the self-asserted source identity. This allows the attacker to falsify or delete critical data, such as compliance, inventory, and cluster health information, belonging to other hubs in the database.\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **RHSA-2026:67516** · Red Hat · fixed in: Multicluster Global Hub 1.4.9 · released 2026-09-15 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:67516)\n- **RHSA-2026:67842** · Red Hat · fixed in: Multicluster Global Hub 1.7.3 · released 2026-09-16 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:67842)\n- **RHSA-2026:68515** · Red Hat · fixed in: Multicluster Global Hub 1.8.2 · released 2026-09-17 · [advisory](https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:68515)","depth":"twilight","depthScore":47,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":46.8,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
