A concurrent unregister can delete and free that\nentry in the gap, leaving the handler to dereference stale memory.\n\nCopy the callback pointer and callback data while notify_lock is\nstill held and invoke the callback only after the lock is dropped.\nThis keeps the existing callback execution model while removing the\nuse-after-free window in both the framework and non-framework\nnotification paths.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `linux_kernel >= 6.15, < 6.18.34`\n- `linux_kernel >= 6.19, < 7.0.11`\n- `linux_kernel = 7.1`\n\n## Remediation\n\nUpgrade past the affected range:\n\n- `linux_kernel 7.0.11`","depth":"midnight","depthScore":51,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":51.2,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
