Prior to version 5.0.0, the LoginRadius backend did not validate OAuth state during the authentication flow. Applications using this backend were vulnerable to login CSRF. An attacker could cause a victim's browser session to complete authentication using an attacker-controlled LoginRadius token, making the victim authenticated as the attacker's LoginRadius identity. The issue affects only applications using the LoginRadius backend. The issue has been fixe in version 5.0.0 by enabling callback state validation for the LoginRadius backend.\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.\n\n## Package advisory (CVE-2026-57177)\n\nAffected packages:\n\n- `social-auth-core < 5.0.0`\n\nPatched in:\n\n- `social-auth-core 5.0.0`\n\nSource: https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-x7qq-23vw-7pfg\n\n## Vendor advisories\n\n- **Red Hat VEX** · Moderate · affected: Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2 · no fix planned: Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform 2 · updated 2026-09-24 · [vex](https://security.access.redhat.com/data/csaf/v2/vex/2026/cve-2026-57177.json)","depth":"sunlit","depthScore":24,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":23.7,"likelihood":0,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
