An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.\nTo exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would first have to log on to the system. An attacker could then run a specially crafted application that could exploit the vulnerability and take control of an affected system.\nThe update addresses this vulnerability by correcting how the Windows kernel-mode driver handles objects in memory.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `windows_10`\n- `windows_10 = 1607`\n- `windows_10 = 1709`\n- `windows_10 = 1803`\n- `windows_10 = 1809`\n- `windows_10 = 1903`\n- `windows_10 = 1909`\n- `windows_7`\n- `windows_8.1`\n- `windows_rt_8.1`\n- `windows_server_2008`\n- `windows_server_2008 = r2`\n- `windows_server_2012`\n- `windows_server_2012 = r2`\n- `windows_server_2016`\n- `windows_server_2019`\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.","depth":"twilight","depthScore":39,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":38.5,"likelihood":0.2,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
