An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could upload restricted file types to an IIS-hosted folder.\nTo exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would require permissions to upload files via BITS. An attacker could then submit a specially crafted request to upload a file.\nThe security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Windows BITS validates file names.\n\n## Affected\n\n- `windows_10`\n- `windows_10 = 1607`\n- `windows_10 = 1709`\n- `windows_10 = 1803`\n- `windows_10 = 1809`\n- `windows_10 = 1903`\n- `windows_10 = 1909`\n- `windows_7`\n- `windows_8.1`\n- `windows_rt_8.1`\n- `windows_server_2008`\n- `windows_server_2008 = r2`\n- `windows_server_2012`\n- `windows_server_2012 = r2`\n- `windows_server_2016`\n- `windows_server_2019`\n\n## Remediation\n\nRefer to the linked advisories for vendor-supplied fixes and affected version ranges.","depth":"twilight","depthScore":47,"depthScoreParts":{"impact":46.8,"likelihood":0.7,"exploitation":0,"ransomware":0},"changes":[]}
